Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Slento Systems website (slentosystems.com) and software products, including Mesh Optimizer (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

"You" refers to the individual or entity accessing the Services. "We," "us," and "our" refer to Slento Systems.

2. Service Tiers

2.1 Community Tier (Free)

  • Available at no cost for deployments of up to 5 nodes.
  • Includes behavior atlas, basic profiling, and single-user dashboard.
  • Provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
  • No service level agreement (SLA). Support is provided on a best-effort basis through community channels.
  • We reserve the right to modify features of the free tier with 30 days notice.

2.2 Professional Tier

  • Paid monthly or annual subscription as listed on the pricing page.
  • Includes JEPA neural optimization, advanced profiling, multi-user dashboard, API access, and email support.
  • Email support: responses within one business day during standard business hours.
  • License is per-organization, not per-user. Node count limits apply per your subscription.

2.3 Enterprise Tier

  • Custom pricing based on fleet size and requirements.
  • Includes all Professional features plus unlimited nodes, dedicated support engineer, SSO/LDAP integration, and custom integrations.
  • Service Level Agreement: 99.9% uptime for the license validation server, measured monthly. Excludes scheduled maintenance windows communicated at least 72 hours in advance.
  • Terms of the Enterprise agreement supersede these general Terms where they conflict.

3. License Grant

Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your internal business purposes. You may not:

  • Sublicense, resell, or redistribute the software.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software, except as permitted by applicable law.
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels.
  • Use the Services to build a competing product.

4. Your Data

You retain all rights to your data. Mesh Optimizer processes hardware telemetry and workload data locally on your infrastructure. We do not access, collect, or store your performance data, behavior atlas, or optimization results unless you explicitly opt into telemetry sharing (see Privacy Policy).

You are responsible for maintaining backups of your configuration and data.

5. Payment Terms

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. We may change pricing with 30 days written notice; price changes take effect at your next billing cycle.

If payment fails, we will attempt to notify you and provide a 14-day grace period before suspending access to paid features. Your data and configurations are preserved during suspension.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' deployments.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.
  • Circumvent license validation or node count limits.

7. Intellectual Property

The Services, including all software, documentation, designs, and trademarks, are owned by Slento Systems and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

Feedback, suggestions, or feature requests you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that optimization recommendations will achieve specific performance results. Hardware behavior varies across configurations, firmware versions, and workloads.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SLENTO SYSTEMS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) FOR FREE TIER USERS.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Slento Systems harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms with written notice. Upon termination:

  • Your license to use the Services ends immediately.
  • Your locally-stored data (behavior atlas, configurations) remains yours.
  • No refund is provided for the remaining portion of a prepaid subscription, except as required by law.

12. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active customers of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [YOUR STATE], without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [YOUR STATE].

14. General

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any Enterprise agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Slento Systems.
  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
